A passion that
became a place.

Khao Thai began with one vision: share the true taste of Thailand with the people of Ottawa.

Par grew up surrounded by family recipes and traditional cooking. She brought that experience to Murray Street in 2004, creating a restaurant where fresh ingredients, bold spices and genuine hospitality belong together.

More than two decades on, guests from the neighbourhood and around the world still come for comforting noodles, layered curries and the feeling of being welcomed.
